 Get
the party started! Get the ready for a fun evening of great

Put on your favorite comfy flannels with the elastic waistband and

Ultimate Girls Getaway, developed over years of great parties and

Girls Getaway participants will be ferried across the bay to
Hamilton to enjoy a private luncheon tea at the Fairmont Hamilton
Princess. The British tradition of Afternoon Tea, also called
High Tea, was started
by Anna the 7th Duchess of Bedford. She felt the need to have a
small snack of fresh hot tea and thinly sliced bread and butter
served to her, in secret, in her boudoir by a butler. When she
realized she was not ridiculed she became encouraged to entertain
her friends and house guests in this way, and so afternoon tea was
born. Our Tea consists of small dainty sandwiches with various
fillings of cucumber, egg, chicken and even sardine then followed by
small pastries of seasonal fruits and slices of maderia and fruit
cakes and not forgetting the fruit scone with strawberry preserves
and the ever popular Devonshire clotted cream. All of this was
washed down with fresh hot tea, the milk was poured first as this
will stop the very hot tea from cracking the fine china. It was the
highest honor if the pot was placed in front of you to pour. At the
Hamilton Princess they are very proud to carry on this popular
tradition of serving their award winning Afternoon Tea.
